Meet "Claudius" the Kingfisher. 
 
This kingfisher painting on driftwood is one of my original bird paintings on wood that's not only been hand painted on wood but also handmade in Cornwall. The driftwood was found on a beach local to my home in Cornwall and has some gorgeous colourings. It has been sanded and prepared in order to maintain as much of the original character of the wood as possible.

I paint wildlife on wood as I love using wood as a natural and sustainable background to create all different types of reclaimed wood art decor. I work primarily with reclaimed wood and I love to celebrate the beauty of the wood I work with and to enhance its natural markings and character.
