Meet Maple the Otter. This Otter painting on Cornish driftwood is a piece of original driftwood art that has been hand-painted in acrylic paint on a piece of driftwood that I found on a beautiful Cornish beach.  This Otter painting on Cornish driftwood has been sanded and prepared in order to maintain as much of the original character of the driftwood as possible.
 
It comes complete with a saw-tooth picture hanger ready to hang on your wall. It would look beautiful in a kitchen, lounge, bedroom, hallway or conservatory and would make a lovely, unique gift for a bird/nature-loving friend or family member. It would also suit a coastal style of decor.
 
I only paint wildlife on wood as I love using wood as a natural and sustainable background to my artwork. Much of the wood that I work with is reclaimed and therefore has some beautiful markings and character that deserve to be preserved and celebrated. This is a one-off piece of driftwood art and having been coated in a flat matt varnish for protection, it should stand the test of time and can be treasured for a life-time.
