This is Watson the greater spotted woodpecker. This Original Framed Woodpecker Painting has been lovingly hand-painted on a stunning piece of ash. The wood itself has some very distinct and beautiful markings adding to the painting's originality. 
 
Watson has been beautifully framed by my good friend, Heidi of the Rustic Picture Frame Company in very old oak which used to be part of a footbridge on Hayling Island in Hampshire. The Frame is full of character and rustic charm.
