This beautiful British Garden Birds painting on English Oak is a collaboration of some of my favourite British garden birds. It includes a chaffinch, robin, nuthatch, goldfinch and little wren, all of which have been hand-painted by me in acrylic paint.
 
This unique and one-off piece of British wildlife art has been painted on a stunning piece of English character Oak which still has the bark still in tact. The pippy oak has some beautiful character and markings which I have used as a natural canvas for the birds. 
 
This piece of British bird art on English Oak would look beautiful in a kitchen, lounge, bedroom, hallway or conservatory and would complement any syle of decor. It would also make a lovely, special wildlife gift for a bird-loving friend or family member.  As with much of my art on wood, its all about bringing the outside-in and this piece of garden bird art is no exception. 
 
I only paint wildlife on wood as I love using wood as a natural and sustainable background to my artwork. Much of the wood that I work with is reclaimed and therefore has some beautiful markings and character that deserve to be preserved and celebrated. This is a one-off piece of bird art and having been coated in a flat matt varnish for protection, it should stand the test of time and can be treasured for a life-time.
