I only paint wildlife on wood as I love using wood as a natural and sustainable background to my artwork. Much of the wood that I work with is reclaimed and therefore has some beautiful markings and character that deserve to be preserved and celebrated. This is a one-off piece of coastal driftwood art and having been coated in a flat matt varnish for protection, it should stand the test of time and can be treasured for a life-time.
