The driftwood itself I found locally on a Cornwall beach and this blue lobster painting on Cornish driftwood has been sanded and prepared in order to maintain as much of the original character of the driftwood as possible.

I paint wildlife on wood as I love using wood as a natural and sustainable background to create all different types of reclaimed wood art decor. I work primarily with driftwood and reclaimed wood and I love to celebrate the beauty of the wood I work with and to enhance its natural markings and character.
