Meet "Pea & Nut" the nuthatches. This nuthatch painting on English oak is one of my original British bird paintings on wood that's not only been hand painted on wood but also handmade in Cornwall. The wood itself has a lovely grain and also a live edge, giving it an authentic woodland feel. I have therefore sanded and prepared the wood in order to maintain as much of the original character as possible.
