Meet Annabel the otter.
This original and very unique otter painting on wood has been hand-painted on a stunning piece of yew. The wood has some beautiful and unusual markings on it which make the piece very unique and I have painted the otter in keeping with the wood so as to celebrate the beauty of both the otter and the wood.
 
This otter painting on wood is a real statement piece of art that could never be replicated (due to the uniqueness of the timber). It comes ready to hang on your wall and would look beautiful as a center piece is any room. 
 
I only paint wildlife on wood as I love using wood as a natural and sustainable background to my artwork. Much of the wood that I work with is reclaimed and therefore has some beautiful markings and character that deserve to be preserved and celebrated. This is a one-off piece of mackerel art and having been coated in a flat matt varnish for protection, it should stand the test of time and can be treasured for a life-time.
