Meet "Quentin". This hand-painted kingfisher painting on Cornish driftwood has been hand-painted in acrylic paint on a beautiful piece wood that I found on a local beach. This piece of driftwood has a beautiful grain and lovely rustic finish, giving it a rugged coastal feel.

I only paint wildlife on wood as I love using wood as a natural and sustainable background to my artwork. Much of the wood that I work with is found locally or reclaimed and therefore has some beautiful markings and character that deserve to be preserved and celebrated. This is a one-off piece of bird art on wood and having been coated in a flat matt varnish for protection, it should stand the test of time and can be treasured for a life-time.
